BIO

He was born in Skopje in 1979. He begins his secondary education at MBUC Ilija Nikolovski-Luj in Skopje by studying the trombone in Prof. Tashko Todorov's class. In 1998, he enrolled at the Faculty of Musical Arts in Skopje on the tuba instrument in Prof. Gjorgi Stefanovski's class. In 2002, he became the first tuba player to graduate in the Republic of Macedonia. During his studies, he began constant collaboration with the orchestra of the Macedonian Opera and Ballet, where he was employed later.

In 2003, he went to master's studies in Belgium, where he received his master's degree at the Royal Conservatory in Brussels in 2006 in the class of Prof. Bart Van Nuenhuyse. During his stay in Belgium, he regularly collaborated with the Brussels Philharmonic, and for one season, he was an intern at the Royal Philharmonic in Antwerp. It is also important to mention the collaboration with the brass band "Bravoer," where, apart from being a tuba player in the orchestra, he performed twice as a tuba soloist at essential concerts.

After returning to Skopje and being employed in the orchestra of the Macedonian Opera and Ballet, he constantly performed in more prominent orchestras in the surrounding countries, such as The Montenegrin Symphony Orchestra, the Niš Symphony Orchestra, the Opera in Tirana... Of course, there is also constant cooperation with the Macedonian Philharmonic, the ARM Military Orchestra, and the FAME'S orchestra for film music. He has performed in Serbia, Albania, Bulgaria, Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Belgium, Spain, France, UAE, USA with these orchestras.

Chamber music, in which he participated in chamber ensembles, is also an important part of concert performances. In 2019, he formed the brass sextet "Brasstet Skopje," and during these five years, they have played over 20 concerts in many cities of the country, as well as a guest appearance at the Francophone festival in Sozopol (Bulgaria) and the Albanian Brass Festival (in Korca and Tirana).

It is worth mentioning his 12 years of membership and experience in FAME's orchestra located in Skopje. This orchestra is considered a significant and severe orchestra for recording film music, music for video games, music production, etc. This twelve-year experience helped a lot in Micko's future career as a freelancer.
